Goat Rock Beverages, LLC ("Goat Rock," "we," "us," or "our") operates this website and produces Goat Rock Cider, Nectar Cider, and Ecliptic Wines. We are based in Petaluma, Sonoma County, California. You can reach us at info@goatrockbeverages.com.
This site is intended for adults 21 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us and information collected automatically when you use our site.
Information you provide:
- Contact form: name, email address, and your message when you submit our contact form (processed by Formspree).
- Online orders: name, shipping address, billing address, date of birth (required for age verification under California ABC regulations), email, and payment information when you purchase through our online store (processed by Vinoshipper).
- Email sign-ups: email address if you opt in to our mailing list.
- Tasting reservations: name, email, and appointment details when you book a tasting at the cidery (processed by our booking provider).
Information collected automatically:
- IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URLs through standard web server logs and basic analytics.
- Cookies and similar technologies as described below.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies and local storage items:
- Age gate: We store a session flag after you confirm you are 21 or older so you are not asked again during the same browser session. This is stored in sessionStorage and is cleared when you close your browser.
- Google Fonts: Typography on this site is served by Google Fonts, which may set cookies and log your IP address per Google's privacy policy.
- Vinoshipper: Our online store embed uses cookies set by Vinoshipper for cart and session management.
We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

- Vinoshipper (vinoshipper.com) - powers our direct-to-consumer online store, handles payment processing, and manages compliance with state shipping laws.
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) - serves web fonts used on this site.
- Odoo - handles tasting room booking at the cidery.
Each of these services operates under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them if you have concerns about how they handle your data.
Data Retention
We retain contact form submissions for up to two years. Order records are retained as required by applicable law, including California ABC record-keeping requirements for DTC alcohol shipments. Email subscribers remain on our list until they unsubscribe.

- Right to know: You may request a summary of the personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months.
